Technical Sales Engineer
Due to growth, an exiting opportunity for a dynamic highly motivated technical candidate to join a successful, growing and ambitious team, get to know the products and help drive forward the business has become available.
Technical training will be provided however a sound engineering background will be required.
Key ResponibilitiesMeet with customers and carry out site visits in order to determine their requirements.Develop tailored technical solutions to meet customer needs and present in the form of professional proposals. (full training will be provided)Develop and maintain strategic relationships with partners, customers, specifiers, FM providers and suppliers.Develop and maintain a network of key contacts through regular face to face meetings.Promote and develop sales of existing product portfolios, and identify new product sales opportunities.Maintain and develop a computerised customer and prospect database.Prepare and submit timely Sales Reports to the SD in agreed format.Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
Essential Criteria3rd level qualification, preferably in mechanical or electrical/electronic engineering.Have a minimum of 3 years experience in a sales position within the Engineering demonstrating a proven track record of success.Be thorough and motivated, with excellent organisational and time management skills.Excellent oral communication, literacy and numeracy skills.IT literate and proficient in software such as MS Word, Excel, email and CRM.Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.Willingness to travel and work as part of a dynamic team.Focused, output driven and able to meet targets on a regular basis.Personable, professional and flexible.
Desired CriteriaPrevious experience in technical product sales would be beneficial.
